Homeowner & Housing Programs
In November 2017, the Board of Directors of Metro Community Development updated the organization’s strategic plan which included Strategy 3: Increase access to safe and affordable housing. Not only can we improve this access through its status as a CDFI lender, but the Board of Directors also wanted to re-establish a prior goal of being a pro-active affordable housing developer. Therefore, Metro Housing Partnership, a subsidiary of Metro Community Development works to increase access to safe and affordable housing through the creation of new housing options, whether new construction or the rehabilitation of existing structures. This work involves leveraging public funds, private financing, tax credits, and interim financing until the units are occupied and the project is cash-flow positive.
